UAB Stransefabrikken Automotive has been specializing in the field of Tier 2 (second level) services of stamping, automatic welding and other processes since its foundation in late 2008. The services provided by the company are stamping and automatic welding. The company has accumulated long-term experience in progressive stamping. The gained experience has made it possible to clearly identify the demand for new products: a stamping tool and a control system. As a result to this the project Conducting Scientific Research and Experimental Development During the Creation of High Added Value Products by UAB Stransefabrikken Automotive was started to  implement. The project duration is 46 months, project value - 716 101,75 EUR. The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.

The aim of the project is to expand the company by utilising R&D potential and infrastructure for the development of new products with high added value.

During the implementation of the project the company invested in scientific research and experimental development activities aimed at improving the monitoring of the stamping process and modifying the stamped quality control process. In the development of new products, the company utilised the latest sensor technologies by transferring the integration of characteristics required for process monitoring and control into the stage of progressive tool design. This resulted not only in more accurate quality control for the manufacturing of production while using progressive stamping tools, but also in the monitoring process itself being transferred from the measuring of the parameters of the manufactured production to transitional stages, when measuring the parameters in separate stages of the process.

Commercialization of products created during the project will enable the company to create products with higher added value and also expand markets and increase sales in the future. Providing the market with the tools required for the stamping processes, rather than with the stamping production, will make it possible to integrate vertically into the value-added chain, ensuring the stability of the company’s income irrespective of the demand for the final output of stamping in any specific markets.
